XDI Team Bot is now LIVE! But what does that mean?
In the dynamic world of competitive gaming, data tracking, and information accessibility play a pivotal role in enhancing the experience for players, teams, TOs, and casters alike. This is the main reason I’ve created the Team Bot. I’m hoping with this bot I can change the default way players look for scrims, casters retrieve information & TOs pull team details (this part more to do so with the site than the bot, but it still plays hand in hand).
Simplifying Scrim Finding
The traditional idea of scrims is to find another team and limit test, but usually there are a few issues with doing this against certain teams. Firstly you need to find a team that wont reveal what you’re trying to do to your competitors, secondly you need to find a team that is on the same level of your team or better so you can see how people of equivalent skill can react to certain ideas.
With Team Bot, only captains of a team will be able to make a looking for scrim post, they will be able to detail what they’re looking for, tag what region and post what time slot they’re looking to fill and for how long. Then anyone will be able to drop their team name and information (with the command /teamabout) underneath and the scrim finder can choose a team that is on an equivalent level.
Player Histories
In the competitive gaming scene, a player’s history holds significant value. The Team Bot maintains an record of each player’s journey, from their debut to their latest achievements. This player history becomes a valuable resource for teams and players to assess potential new talent.
Empowering Tournament Organizers and Casters
As mentioned previously, the benefits of the Team Bot extend beyond teams and players. Tournament organizers and casters play a crucial role in showcasing competitive gaming to a broader audience. The Team Bot’s data repo becomes an invaluable source.

Keep in mind i dont plan to stop with the current features. As the gaming landscape evolves, so too will the capabilities of this bot. I want to sooner or later implement predictive analytics to anticipate performance trends, and even matchmaking suggestions based on historical information.
